{remember} sitting at the kitchen counter, munching fruit snacks (I needed a sugar fix) with the boys sound asleep upstairs, and being so grateful that this week is finally over: a stomach bug for the youngest, stitches for the middle, and strep throat for the oldest. There's a reason I didn't take the nursing career path.
Oh...I'm sorry it was such a tough week! I hear you about the nursing thing- funny though, as mothers we sometimes have no choice but to suck it up, despite all the bruising and or blood in sight and still knowing all that we know, look them right in the eye and tell them everything is going to be just fine... let's just hope that these kinds of weeks are few and far between...!
I am working on a Masters of English. I have actually been done with all of my classes for about two years now...my thesis has been poorly neglected! It discusses the idea of mentorship in the lives of Lily Bart (The House of Mirth- Edith Wharton) and Carrie Meeber (Sister Carrie-Theodore Dreiser) and how that mentorship (or lack thereof) impacts their successes and failures in life. With your English background, maybe I will send you some of it here and there! (Like you time to read things like that!)
I remember Marci or hearing about her, maybe...? I moved there in the 10th grade, so, I probably didn't know her long if she moved in high school too.
I'd love to hear about some of the activities you and the boys are doing this summer to stay busy and creative! Hope your day goes well!
