him: Mom, does God make everything? I mean, I know he makes lots of things, but did he make everything? Like even paper?

me: Well, God made the trees that we make paper from. He makes the people that make the paper.

him: Paper comes from trees? {ponders this for a moment} But money doesn't grow on trees?

Hmm, I'm thinking I'm not going to be able to use this line on him. I can hear him already: Yeah, money's made of paper, and paper comes from trees, so money really does grow on trees.
